I am using Kali Linux 2 on my MacBook Pro. As stated by tjt263 you can either use diskutil in the terminal or the Disk Utility app. You can use VirtualBox and install Kali Linux on it. Make some free space on the hard drive. If you're like me and don't like the default GUI it can easily be themed.
